Welcome to 4th Grade at Lincoln! This is going to be the best year. The weekly blog will be shared at 3:00 PM every Sunday. Weekly events, important upcoming dates, volunteer opportunities, and important links will be included. I will try to keep it brief! Here is my welcome letter in case you missed it. 

Here is a copy of our daily schedule! The kids also have a copy to keep in their home folders. Home folders should come back and forth every day. Student login and password info is also located in this folder.

Monday - PE

Tuesday - STEM; SEL every other week

Wednesday - No Late Start; Art

Thursday - Music

Friday - No School

Lunch is at 11:30. All students need a water bottle and a healthy snack each day. Specials will be from 2:00-2:40. Morning recess is at 10:00 and afternoon recess is at 2:45. 

PowerSchool only allows me to have access to one parent's email address. If you would like me to have another, please email Mallory with that address so she can include that person on the weekly parent communication blasts. More info will come on Back to School Night this Wednesday at 6:45.

Please fill out this "Get to Know You" form if you haven't already so I can get to know your child better!

Please plan to bring the following items some time this week:  

  • a small item to share with the class the first week of school (favorite toy, souvenir, award, etc.) as a get to know each other activity/show & tell
  • headphones or earbuds to keep at school
  • a photo of your child doing something he or she loves to do(you can email the photo to me and I will print it if that's easier) I'm making a bulletin board that says, " I had the best day with you today!" and I plan to put each child's photo of him or her having the "best day" around the bulletin board. Please have your child in the photo! I can take photos at recess too if you don't have time...I totally understand!!
  • a good fit book to read from home, if possible, until book checkout is available in the library (I have a huge class library too, so don't worry if your child doesn't have a book!)

10-3 - Laps for Lincoln

If you are able to volunteer in the classroom or if you're willing to take projects home to complete, please fill out this form. Thank you for your willingness to help!

Here is the SJPS volunteer form. Remember you must complete this form every year if you plan to volunteer in any school or attend a field trip. Thanks for doing this in advance!

                                                                                  Lansing Trip -  On May 4th, we are going to Lansing. This is always a favorite memory of 4th grade!! Students and chaperones need to arrive at Lincoln at 7:15am and we will return around 4:15/4:30pm.  Please note this time is different than the time we originally shared!  We will wear our field trip shirts and walk everywhere. Everyone going should bring a disposable water bottle, snacks, and a lunch. Students may also bring money for the gift shop!                                                                                 Winn Dixie Party:  Thanks to all who contributed to the Winn Dixie party! The kids said it was the best half day ever!!                                 Stuff a Truck:  Read-In: In celebration of all our hard work this 1st trimester, kids may bring a blanket and pillow for a read-in on Friday.
