I hope you feel as excited as I am about sending these awesome kids to 5th grade. They have worked hard, done what they were asked, and they're ready! Have a great summer!! Report Cards:  Report cards will be mailed home after next week. The envelopes will include NWEA scores and Acadience reports. Please reach out with any questions.  Lockers:  We will be cleaning out our lockers and cubbies tomorrow afternoon. After that, backpacks won't be necessary.                                                                                   Reading -  We have had an amazing year in reading! Thank you so much for supporting your child’s reading plan. With your help, we were able to nurture a true love of reading and see wonderful growth in both fluency and comprehension. For our few remaining instructional days, students are welcome to read at home for "extra yards" if they choose. However, since we are currently immersed in a rigorous in-class book study of The Hope Chest —focusing on main idea, theme, and summary writing—at-home bookmarks are no longer required.                                                                              Happy Mother's Day!!! Sarett: On Wednesday, we will be going to Sarett from 12:15-1:45. Parents/Guardians who want to join us may meet us there. You pay the entrance fee when you arrive. We will have an educational talk inside first and then we'll go on a hike. Please dress for the weather and know that there may be muddy areas. Students should also dress for the weather(in layers) and bring a water bottle for the hike. They will eat lunch at school before we leave, so lunches aren't necessary. NWEA Math:  We will take the math NWEA test on Tuesday. Students may bring mints or minty gum while testing.                                                                                 Lansing Trip -  Reminder-Our trip to Lansing is Monday, May 4, 2026!  Please remember…….. Check the weather in the morning! Please dress appropriately and wear comfy shoes. We will be walking everywhere!  Chaperones and students will meet in the classroom at 7:15 AM. Chaperones will receive an agenda, names of students in their charge, and instructions.  Chaperones and students will need a morning snack, lunch, and a disposable drink container.  Students may have one electronic device on the bus.  Students may bring some money for the gift shop at the museum ($20/$25 recommended & no food/candy on the bus).  Plan to pick up your child...
