Reading - We have had an amazing year in reading! Thank you so much for supporting your child’s reading plan. With your help, we were able to nurture a true love of reading and see wonderful growth in both fluency and comprehension.
For our few remaining instructional days, students are welcome to read at home for "extra yards" if they choose. However, since we are currently immersed in a rigorous in-class book study of The Hope Chest—focusing on main idea, theme, and summary writing—at-home bookmarks are no longer required. Students will also have time in class to continue reading their independent books. Thank you for all your hard work this year!
Class Supplies - We are out of kleenex. If you are able to send in a box, we would appreciate it. Thanks!
Kiwanis - We will be going to Kiwanis on Friday from 9:00-11:00. Parents/Guardians may walk with us or meet us there. Students may bring recess type equipment as long as they can carry it on our walk. They will also need to bring a water bottle. We are hoping for good weather!
All About Me: Everyone has had an "All About Me" week this school year. I will use the remaining weeks to watch for students excelling with the Bear Behaviors. This week Madison is our bear of the week! Madison has been working so hard to persevere when things are hard. She is also working to forgive others and solve peer conflicts on her own. Yay, Maddie!
