March 2nd - 6th

March is Reading Month: Students will be listening to Lincoln teacher created read alouds and reading books selected for a March Madness competition. Later in March, they will vote on their favorites, culminating in one book that wins it all! Ask your child what books they like each week. The recording I made is from a book titled Broken!
Report Cards: Report cards will be coming home on Friday! There may be an area(s) where your child still needs to meet the essential standard. The expected goal is to achieve the standards by the end of 4th grade with a "3". Students receive extra practice and opportunities through small-group and individual interventions throughout the school year to help them reach their goals. Once you receive the report card, please review it with your child, sign the envelope, and return it for yards!
Field Trips: Please see field trips listed below. Parent chaperones are needed for both trips, but anyone attending must complete the volunteer form also listed below. I hope this gives you enough notice to prepare!
Classroom Supplies: We are in need of paper towels, kleenex, Clorox wipes, and extra snacks. Thanks for contributing if you can!
Conferences: Thanks for emailing me after your child holds his or her conference at home! So far we have had over 15 kids out of 28 lead a spring conference. Let's keep going!
Class Birthdays: 3/12 Spencer & Grayson and 3/23 Hunter
All About Me: Each week a student is the All About Me student. They have completed a poster in class(but may need to finish it at home) and get to share special things about themselves each day. When it is your child's turn, I will send home a paper stating everything he or she needs. Elli is up this week!
