Personal Awareness/Social Intelligence: Since we are getting closer to the end of the year, certain behaviors have been coming up and are causing problems. We have been talking a lot about why it's important to think about "how my actions affect others." Please talk to your child about: staying in my hula hoop, only talking about others who are present, staying focused during learning and keeping eyes on the screen or person speaking, and staying on the group plan. Kids are not allowed to bring home toys out to recess unless there's a reward day and need to play safe games while outside. Unfortunately, not following these expectations leads to a loss of recess. I want to end this awesome school year on a positive note, and even with 28 kids in one small classroom, I know we can do it! Thanks for reinforcing our expectations at home!!
Classroom Needs: We are already out of Clorox wipes. We have 8 tables that we wipe daily to keep the germs away the best we can. Please help if you can!
March is Reading Month: Students will vote for the 1st round of books by Monday, March 23rd. Please keep asking your child about what books he or she is reading and what the favorites were from the list!
Class Birthdays: 3/23- Hunter
All About Me: Each week a student is the All About Me student. They have completed a poster in class(but may need to finish it at home) and get to share special things about themselves each day. When it is your child's turn, I will send home a paper stating everything he or she needs. Violet is up this week!
